Our challenge was to rapidly remove the standing water from a burst water main that flooded the wood flooring and walls of this office building in Tallahassee. This photo depicts the demolition of the lower water damaged drywall, dried and ready for new installation. We used drying mats with our portable pumps to remove the moisture from within the floor joists and joints of the hardwoods. The management company was very pleased with the results.

The flooded water obviously ruined the flooring and the lower portion of the drywall in this office building. We extracted the water, removed the remaining moisture (also above the drop ceiling) with heaters, air movers, and dehumidifiers. SERVPRO® of North Leon County was called in on this job to look at the crawlspace beneath the flooring. The owners were showing us where their ice maker line had leaked water all over the floors that had been in this house since the fifties. The floors had cupped pretty badly, and the homeowners had already called someone in to rip out the floors. I told them I thought I could save the floors, and they told me they wanted me to try. The close-up picture is showing the cupping that had already taken place.
